I am so excited to announce the Baby Plan to my friends here in Knoxville, Tn. The Heritage Held Baby Plan is a GREAT option for pregnant mamas to be who want to capture every bit of their child's first year - from womb to one. The Baby Plan covers four sessions over the course of a year: maternity, newborn, six month, and one year. Then I help you walk through making those beautiful images into wall art or an album for your home.
At the maternity session, I recommend bringing the whole family. We will capture some amazing stills of mama by herself to celebrate this time where she gets to enjoy baby in a much more intimate way than any other person in the family. I make it a goal to capture both the strength and femininity that comes with this time in her life. But then I also love to see the father and siblings interact, as well. This is such an exciting time and we want to make sure we capture every single minute.
Next, once baby is here and settled in with the family, I'll drive over to your home and snuggle the whole lot of you on the couch. This is where sweet details, nursing, and fantastic cozy family shots are all a must. I love more relaxed wardrobes for this session because it is true to what is going on in your life! So put on the cute leggings with a sweater, grab the comfy socks, and leave the glitz, glamor, and shoes for a different session. We'll go from living room, to nursery, to other sweet locations in your home to capture all the goodness of these first few weeks with baby.
At six months old, your sweet little bundle of joy can *probably* sit up at least assisted and is so curious about the world! Let's make sure we plan a fun session around that! This can be a studio session, an in-home session, or an on-location session somewhere fun and epic. Although some parents elect to make this session solely about the babe, I highly recommend again that you document the family as a whole. OF COURSE we will get images of just baby. But don't dismiss the preciousness of how baby loves mama and dada SO much at this stage, or how big brother or sister dotes on baby completely. You don't want to miss this!
Finally, at a year old, we will do baby's first REAL full family pictures. When I do family sessions I always include individual portraits, each child with each parent, the children together, and SO many combinations. But the best images are the whole family portraits. And if you haven't learned yet why I think so, it's because of the interactions and connections. Families grow and change all the time. Dynamics between members change. It's so fun to look back and see the changes from year to year, and important to have them readily available so our children can see. I will help you display these images on your walls, creating heirlooms to pass down for generations to come.
